Comparative characteristics of the bar of the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation

Purpose: to Study the legal profession of the people's Republic of China and the Russian Federation, to identify their differences and similarities. Methodology: historical-legal and formal legal methods were used. Results: the article highlights that the bar is a professional community of lawyers and is an institution of civil society. The bar is designed to protect the rights, freedoms and interests of citizens and legal entities, as well as to ensure access to justice. The bar of the Russian Federation is a non-governmental and non-commercial voluntary professional Association of qualified lawyers with the status of a lawyer, created to provide legal assistance in order to protect their rights and legitimate interests. The Chinese bar is an irreplaceable and important force in the formation of a socialist legal system in the Russian Federation. Position 3 of the Law on the bar of the people's Republic of China stipulates that a lawyer must comply with the Constitution and laws, strictly adhere to the lawyer's ethics and service discipline; the lawyer must be based on facts and set the law as a criterion for his/her activity. Novelty/originality/value: the Article has a scientific value, as it is one of the first attempts to compare the bar of the people's Republic of China and the Russian Federation.
