The emergence of new methods for assessing the breeding value of cattle, in particular genomic analysis, allows predicting the productive potential at an early age, which significantly increases the efficiency of the selection process. This article presents a comparative characteristic and analysis of genomic indices of Holstein and Jersey sires in order to identify traits that allow the effective implementation of the potential of animals in practice. The studies showed that the correlation between genomic indices had a similar degree of connection, but was more pronounced in Jersey animals.
