A relevant area of research and practice in cattle selection in recent years has been genomic evaluation. This method allows for a significant increase in the accuracy of animal selection for breeding qualities due to the use of genetic information obtained through DNA analysis. The introduction of genomic evaluation methods into the herd management system helps to accelerate the pace of genetic progress and increase the economic efficiency of dairy enterprises. The presented study analyzes correlations and differences between the main genomic indices of sires of Russian and foreign selection. It was found that in both groups a strong positive relationship dominates between the total productivity index (TPI) and the economic index (NM$), which emphasizes the leading role of productivity in ensuring the financial profitability of herds. In Russian selection, a moderate positive effect of the TPI index on milk productivity (PTAM) was revealed, while in foreign lines there is no such effect, which is explained by a different focus of the selection process. Quantitative estimates of the degree of differences between bulls of different selection were obtained: the maximum difference was noted for the PTAM index (about 150.86%), the smallest - for TPI (only 3.48%).
