Comparative characteristics of social and economic development of the regions of the Volga Federal District

This scientific article provides a comparative description of the socio-economic development of the regions of the Volga Federal District (hereinafter referred to as the VFD). The author analyzes statistical indicators, a general description of the distinctive features of the current state of the VFD as a whole, as well as the regions that are part of this district. In conclusion of the study, the author makes a conclusion about the key points in the development of the regions of the VFD, the role of these characteristics for the economy of the entire state. This article will therefore be of interest to theoretical and practical workers, to teaching staff and students, and to a wide range of readers.
