Comparative characteristics of the course of cardiovascular diseases in patients with and without COVID-19 infection

The urgency of this problem is due to the fact that this group makes up the majority of the population. There is evidence that pathology of the heart and blood vessels occurs in every third patient hospitalized with COVID-19 and is one of the most common comorbidities in this disease. In patients with cardiovascular diseases, the danger lies in the deterioration of their course, which, in turn, leads to the progression of the infectious process and an increase in the number of adverse outcomes. Therefore, it is important to study the features of pathogenetic processes occurring in the cardiovascular system with a new coronavirus infection, clinical manifestations and prevention of complications.
