Comparative evaluation of initial material of spring soft wheat in the mass of 1000 grains

The estimation of the initial material of spring soft wheat of different ecological and geographical groups on the basis of the weight of 1000 grains was conducted. The connections between the yield of samples and the mass of 1000 grains were established. Identified genetic sources, combining high weight of 1000 grains and productivity among the samples of scientific institutions and breeding centers of the Russian Federation, as well as varieties and breeding lines of the FPBSI Volga RISS. The selected samples are recommended as a promising initial material for inclusion in the breeding programs of research institutions of the middle Volga region.
