Black currant is one of the most valuable berry crops. It is prized for its annual fruiting. It is an economically viable crop that grows even in the harsh northern regions. Due to its valuable economically useful properties, black currant occupies a leading place among berry crops in the gardens of Siberia. At the present time, the issue of obtaining high-quality planting material for black currant in sufficient quantities is a hot topic in the West Siberian region. The demand for fruit and berry products is growing from year to year. The preservation of valuable economic and biological characteristics of varieties is ensured by vegetative reproduction. Therefore, the development of scientific foundations for the reproduction of berry crops (Omsk State Agrarian University) and the industrial production of seedlings (Garden Centre “Omsk Gardener”) in accordance with the biological characteristics of species and varieties, zonal conditions and economic requirements is a relevant and practically significant research area. Research on the comparative characteristics of technologies for the reproduction of black currants by green cuttings was carried out at. the Garden Centre “Omsk Gardener” (individual entrepreneur I.S. Chepel, Omsk District of the Omsk Region) and the Training, Scientific and Production Laboratory “Gardening” of Omsk State Agrarian University in 2016-2019. Black currants have a high percentage of root formation, regardless of varietal characteristics and research and production sites. The rooting rate is 95.7 at the “Gardening” Laboratory of Omsk State Agrarian University and 94.6 at the nursery of “Omsk Gardener”. The yield of annual plants in the “Gardening” Laboratory of Omsk State Agrarian University varies from 70.4% for the Sokrovische and Ruslan varieties to 74.6 for the Sibilla variety. In the nursery of “Omsk Gardener”, the yield of plants was significantly higher and ranged from 78.4 to 92.8%.
