The institutionalization of presidential power is a long historical process. The study of the presented phenomenon is necessary to explain the peculiarities of the development of the institution of the presidency at the present stage of development. The article presents a historical analysis of the formation of the institution of presidential power in Russia, the USA and France, analyzes the modern elements of the state structure of the studied countries.
