Comparative analysis of public health policy during the COVID-19 pandemic in Russia and foreign countries

During the pandemic, absolutely all countries of the world were affected by the problems associated with the spread of coronavirus infection. The world has changed dramatically, due to the new living conditions of every person, regardless of where he lives. Most people infected with the virus experienced mild or moderate respiratory illnesses and recovered without special treatment. However, some of them had a more severe form of the disease, which is why they needed medical help. Elderly people and people with concomitant diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases or cancer, had a greater predisposition to complications of the recovery process. In this regard, mortality has increased in the world. That is why a number of measures have been taken by each State to improve the sanitary and epidemiological situation. The article describes what tools the authorities of China, the USA, Russia and the UK used for this purpose. As a result, a comparative analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of their experience in combating the pandemic is presented.
