Comparative analysis of the effectiveness of antitumor treatment with mitomycin and cisplatin

The article discusses the problems of treating patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the anal canal, the prevalence of which increases by 2.7% annually. The focus is on modern approaches to the treatment of this oncological pathology and comparing the effectiveness of various antitumor treatment regimens in 42 patients treated using mitomycin and cisplatin. The study showed that there were no significant differences in the frequency of remission without relapse when using these drugs. This allowed the authors to conclude that both drugs used were relatively equally effective in achieving a clinical response.
