Banking systems of different countries, despite full-scale globalization and the desire for uniformity of methodological regulation of banks, do not develop according to a single scenario, since they are influenced to varying degrees not only by global, but also by local factors. With the help of econometric modeling tools, models of the dependence of the net profit of Sberbank PJSC (Russia), Barclays PLC (UK) and ICBC LTD(PRC) on the performance of banks and socio-economic factors were constructed. As a result of this study, it was concluded that the traditional model of dependence of the financial result on the amount of customer funds raised, loans issued and socio-economic factors corresponds only to the banking system of China, while the banking systems of the UK and Russia do not have a direct relationship with these factors, which is explained by greater diversification of the activities of leading banks and financial holdings. The results of the study can be used by banks to select a strategy in terms of determining profit centers.
