Comparison of different random search and optimization techniques

The paper considers methods of random search and optimization, which are widely applied recently. After brief review of modern techniques of random search and optimization, the empirical analysis of different approaches to their usage on the basis of some examples from real life is presented. Practical recommendations for expedient applying of different methods depending on particular task are given on the basis of the analysis.
