Comparative analysis of approaches to the development of the strategy of sustainable development of the enterprise

The article reveals the content and basic principles of applying approaches to the development of a sustainable development strategy. A critical analysis was carried out and features of the main approaches to the development of a strategy for the sustainable development of an enterprise were identified, and their strengths and weaknesses were identified. The main approaches to the development of a strategy for sustainable development are: traditional, entrepreneurial, process, systemic, situational, marketing and diagnostic. Traditional approaches are considered from the standpoint of economic strategy, business strategy and leadership strategy. It has been found that in today’s dynamic business environment, traditional approaches do not fully ensure the sustainable development of an enterprise. In this connection, the article attempted to select the most effective tools to ensure the sustainable development of the enterprise based on a critical analysis of the studied approaches.
