The article presents some results of the work of Samara research scientific Institute of agriculture on the priority theme “Development of potato breeding and seed production in the Russian Federation”. Considered a promising method for the production of virus-free minitubers of potato varieties Lisana, Sanjava, Fioletovy under controlled conditions of the phytotron. The possibility to accelerate production of valuable seed material with a high level of health and low cost is shown.
