Comparative analysis of modern concepts of political culture in foreign science

Nowadays, the understanding of political culture in political science has been systematized, several dozen definitions have been given, there are various approaches and typologies, nevertheless, this phenomenon is a relatively new subject of study in Russian political science. Studying political culture within a single approach does not give a complete picture, moreover, it makes it difficult to interpret the current state, understanding the reasons for the ongoing changes in political behavior, stereotypes and values of citizens. Each of the conceptual approaches has both merits and demerits, so it is useful to be guided by several of them when analyzing political culture. The article reflects the basic theoretical concepts of political culture of foreign researchers - G. Almond, S. Verba, L. Pye, R. Tucker, who studied it within the framework of behavioral (behaviorist) and symbolic (interpre-tivist) approaches. Consequently, empirical research should follow the comprehensive principle of analyzing political culture, which allows all facets of the phenomenon under study to be revealed.
