The two most common standards in the world are voltage and frequency. One of them is the American standard 100 - 127 volts 60 Hertz. Another standard is European, 220 - 240 volts 50 Hertz. Most countries have adopted one of these two standards, although transitional or unique standards are sometimes found. This article presents a comparison of various characteristics of the quality of electricity standards of the EU, USA and Russia, as well as an analysis of the quality of electrical energy.
