The comparative analysis of the theoretical approaches to the treatment of innovation in the framework of the concept of national innovation systems

The article presents an analysis of the prerequisites for the emergence and the main provisions of the concept of national innovation systems (NIS). The aim of the study is to analyze comparatively the interpretations of innovations in the works of representatives of the NIS concept and to identify the practical significance of its provisions for the development of the tools for managing economic and innovative development. Special attention is paid to the role of education in overcoming the differentiation of the world economic space and in ensuring sustainable economic growth.
