The medieval weapon from the museum collections and the private collection in the southern part of the Issyk-Kul hollow

This article analyzes the finds of medieval iron items of weapon that are kept as a part of museum collections and private collection in some inhabited areas in the Issyk-Kul hollow of Kyrgyzstan. There is a tip of the arrow for the distant battle and a spear cutting and stabbing weapon for near and hand-to-hand fight among the investigated finds items of weapon. The typological analysis of investigated finds was conducted in this article by formal evidences. The essential quality of all studied items of weapon to the certain groups and types. The analogies with the studied finds among the similar types of weapon, have been found in the other regions of Talas and Chui valley of Kyrgyzstan. To judge from these analogies, the investigated items of weapon must be date from the epoch of the Late Middle Ages and to the complex of items of the Kyrgyz culture of Tyan Shan.
