The middle class in the framework of the sociology of management

The article analyses the middle class in the framework of the sociology of management. From the perspective of the sociology of management the middle class distinguishes itself by both income, consumption and the way of gaining income, the type of activities, firmness of outlook, high education level, which form the self-esteem and inner independence. Sociology interprets the middle class from the perspective of the two approaches: social professional and social identity. Based on these two approaches, the author discusses the empirical characteristics of the middle class. Analysis of such characteristics as education, income, occupational status, has allowed to consider some features of the middle class and describe the implicit signs of the middle class representatives.
