The article examines and analyses the foreign trade activity of the USA which plays a key role in the global economy. The structure of its export and import have been thoroughly investigated, and the largest trading partners of the USA have been identified. It defines problems arising in the economy during the global crisis of 2008 and ways of their solution in the post-crisis period.
