Stabilization of the ferroelectric phase of KNO3 in solid solutions (KNO3)1-x(NaNO2)x

The temperature dependence of the linear dielectric constant and the amplitude of the third harmonic of the solid solutions (KNO3)1'x(NaNO2)x (x = 0.025, 0.050, 0.075, 0.100) in comparison with pure potassium nitrate were found. Found to increase the temperature of the ferroelectric phase III potassium nitrate on cooling, which increases with increasing amounts of impurities of sodium nitrite. It is shown that for solid solutions with potassium nitrate in the ferroelectric phase can also occur during heating.
