The battle of Stalingrad in the drawings by the war artists

The article is devoted to the creative activity of the war artists who participated in the Battle of Stalingrad of 1942 - 1943 as ordinary soldiers, gunners, pilots, correspondents of front newspapers. The author analyzes subjects and technology of drawings, the images of soldiers, the city, and enemies which were created by the war artists. The attention is paid to the role of front drawing as an important factor of mobilization of spiritual resources for a fight against fascism.
