The Stalingrad planetarium: the first years of the activity (on the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of the Volgograd planetarium)

On the basis of the analysis of the archive material there are characterized the content, tasks and functions of the planetarium in Stalingrad (Volgograd) as a large enlightenment center. There are characterized the directions, forms and means of the cultural education work with the different groups of the population. There are presented the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the planetarium’s work, the given data are able to reveal in details and evaluate the activity of the planetarium in the first tenth anniversary of its activity.
