Formation of a new type of economic system under the conditions of sanctions pressure: problematic aspects

The article deals with the problems of change in the economy of modern Russia in the context of the doctrine of the typology of economic systems. The position is put forward that in the context of a global conflict between Russia and the collective West, accompanied by unprecedented sanctions pressure, the prerequisites for significant changes in the priorities of economic policy are ripe. Compared to the previous period (1992-2021), the situation is changing so dramatically that the question of a radical change in the type of economic system in modern Russia can be raised. Conceptual approaches are briefly considered, where the types of economic systems are especially clearly distinguished. The article summarizes the measures of state support for certain sectors of the Russian economy, adopted in 2022-2023. Based on the analysis, a conclusion was made about the general nature of the changes taking place in the Russian economy at the present stage. Despite the complexity of modern challenges, the Russian economy remains a market-type economic system, which is natural, given the functional purpose of market mechanisms and the historical logic of previous development.
