Formation and development of domestic criminal legislation on liability for encroachments on forests and forest management

Relevance. The current state of the criminal law in terms of forest protection and forest management is the result of its long evolution. Knowledge of the main directions and trends in the development of criminal law related to this spere is an indispensable condition for understanding and adequate assessing its current state and possible development prospects. Th e aim of the study is to conduct a historical and legal analysis of criminal law norms dedicated to the protection of forests and forest management in Russia.
