The current stage of economic development has updated the task of structuring the industry market, quantitative analysis and systematization of information about its condition. Market structuring appeared in economic theory long before the formation of the theory of industrial markets. The purpose of the study is to consider the evolution of approaches to market structuring and describe current trends in its development. To achieve this goal, retrospective analysis, synthesis, systematization, logical and comparative analysis were used. The study of models and theories of market structuring made it possible to identify seven stages of development according to substantive criteria: from the formation of basic models of market structuring to taking into account modern digital, behavioral and institutional approaches. In general, the methodology for structuring the industry market is a transitional option from country-specific technological parameters and institutional interaction to digital forms of their development. Each stage in the development of the concept of industrial market structuring expanded the understanding of the factors affecting market structure and provided methods for assessing and managing market structure. Understanding the evolution of market structuring is aimed at transforming national industrial policy and strategizing in modern conditions, ensuring sustainable business development.
