Regulatory framework forming for the Russian territory protection

The article summarizes the background of the emergence of the legal framework in the field of conservation and protection of the state borders of Russia. It briefly traces the history of borders forming and legal regulation of these activities: from the Kievan princes having sentry outposts to Boyarsky sentence, which became the basis for originating the special regulatory framework in the field of special civil service in Russia later known as the watch.
