Development of the legislative framework of combating human trafficking: historical and legal aspects

The article deals with the documents adopted since the end of the XIX century to the present. It highlights the stages of development of the international legal framework of combating human trafficking. The analysis of key documents and their impact on the fight against human trafficking is carried out. The basic contractual approaches to combat human trafficking are reviewed. The article analyses the normative acts of the League of Nations, the United Nations, the Council of Europe and others. The activity of the first conferences aimed at combating human trafficking. Particular attention is given to the establishment of the legal and regulatory framework after the Second World War, when the efforts to combat trafficking of persons transferred to the newly formed United Nations and began to develop rapidly. The author notes that in the XX century was carried out systematic work on the study and the subsequent changes in previously adopted international agreements.
