Formation of education and its role in development of business in the Arkhangelsk North of Russia in XIX - beginning of the XXth centuries

The article considers questions of formation of education as socially important sphere of life for the state and society. On the basis of the analysis of numerous printing and statistical sources, authors show the level of development of education in the Arkhangelsk North in the 19 - beginning of the 20th centuries. It analyzes network of the educational institutions connected with receiving as general as well as professional knowledge. The paper investigates degree of coverage of the population by education. Its role in formation and development of business influences on social and economic growth of the region.
