The article covers questions of information and communication space formation in the USSR. It analyzes change of the communication type, when mass order methods came to the fore, involving lots of people into political processes, which extended the communication space of the country. The author discusses contradictory role of the Russian intelligentsia and complicated relations with the ecclesiastical organization. Basing upon the empiric analysis and specific researches the author registers changes in the social content of the information and communication space allowing by the early 1940-s formation of the efficient model of social interaction. The article distinguishes general and specific features of the Soviet model of information and communication space.
