The article is devoted to the original stage of the formation of scientific wine-making school of Krasnodar region. The aspects of the creation of experimental stations and practical schools for selection of grapes are revealed. The role of well-known Russian, foreign and Soviet winemakers - oenologist in the formation of the regional school of winemaking is examined.
