Old believers’ settlements of Diodoro-Yur’egorskiy monastery and its surroundings

Collected materials are concerned with the poorly studied period in the history of Yur’egorskiy monastery. The materials are studied in light of the ruling monarchs’ attitude to the XVIIth century Church reforms. The fate of the monastery’s novices, who rebelled against the Church innovations, is traced. New sources providing information on the old believers’ settlements on the lands of Yur’egorskiy monastery are presented. The in-depth analysis of collected documents helped to reveal the fact that introduced Church reforms were widely opposed by the Russian North.
