Statistical assessment of the performance of the activities of educational organizations of higher education in the Far Eastern federal district

The article presents the author’s methodology for constructing an integral indicator for evaluating the effectiveness of educational institutions of higher education on the example of universities in the Far Eastern Federal District. Information and analytical materials based on the results of monitoring the activities of educational organizations of higher education of the Main Information and Computing Center served as a source of information. The methodology for constructing an integral indicator of the performance of higher education organizations is based on the idea of identifying three criteria (integral characteristics): educational and scientific activities of universities and human resources, while each criterion is filled with specific content (indicators). The practical application of the formed set of statistical indicators will allow assessing the level of performance of educational institutions of higher education. It should also be noted the importance of conducting a study of the performance of educational institutions of higher education, taking into account regional characteristics. This approach allows, from a practical point of view, to more fully and objectively evaluate the activities of higher education organizations.
