Statistical materials as a research source of the military-mobilization and labor potential of the rear regions of Russia during the Great Patriotic War

The paper considers the information support issues of historical and demographic research. The work is a critical analysis of the population census made in 1939, as well as statistical materials characterizing the natural and migratory population movement. Much attention is paid to research and source study evaluation of statistical materials containing information about size and composition of urban and rural population.
