Currently, the issue of improving the demographic situation is quite acute. The natural decline of the population has a negative impact on the country's economy. For a long time, the task of the state is to increase the birth rate in the country. Overcoming the demographic crisis is a rather laborious process for the state, requiring comprehensive involvement. For this purpose, measures of state support for families with children in various fields are being developed and implemented. First of all, it is necessary to increase the incomes of families with children and improve their well-being. However, we should not ignore the spheres of healthcare, education, housing, and the social sphere. The article examines the influence of income and socio-economic factors such as maternity capital, child care benefits, the interest rate on mortgage loans on the birth rate in the Russian Federation. The analysis of state support measures for families with children is being carried out. Using a linear correlation coefficient, the relationship between the fertility index and the average monthly nominal accrued wages is reflected. The role of demographic policy in increasing the birth rate is reflected. The results of the study made it possible to assess the relevance and relevance of state support measures, both implemented and developed, in the context of supporting families with children and, as a result, an increase in the birth rate. The development, implementation and implementation of various measures of state support for families with children should be comprehensive and have a cumulative effect, which in turn should lead to an increase in the birth rate and a reduction in the natural decline of the population.
