Statistical quality control in production

Statistical quality control is the application of statistical methods to determine whether a given component of production (input) is within acceptable statistical limits and whether there is any result of production (output) that can be shown to be statistically acceptable to the required specifications. On the other hand, statistical process control is the application of statistical methods to determine whether a given process is within operational control parameters established by statistical procedures.
