Statistical study of salary dynamics and its impact on the purchasing power of the population

The article describes the trend of changes in the levels of nominally accrued wages in the context of federal districts of the Russian Federation, and the impact of its level on the purchasing power of the population. Also, using statistical methodology, the quantitative availability of food to the population is assessed. The relevance of the chosen topic does not raise any doubts, since the most important economic category for any person was chosen as the subject of research, characterizing his reward for his invested work, activity, strength, knowledge and qualifications. According to the results of the study, the North Caucasian Federal District showed the lowest wages of the population throughout the entire diagnostic period, and the largest social gap between the “rich” and “poor” segments of the population.
