Stablecoins as a tool to eliminate cryptocurrency volatility

Volatility is one of the key financial indicators in financial flow management processes as a measure of the risk of using a financial instrument in the time period under consideration. Digital financial assets (cryptocurrencies) are subject to a high level of volatility, which makes them inconvenient from a practical point of view as a medium of exchange and a measure of value. One of the solutions to this problem is to link the cryptocurrency to any underlying asset. This type of cryptocurrency is called «stablecoin». The article discusses the advantages and disadvantages of stablecoins, their place in the cryptocurrency market, and provides a descriptive description of the main types of stable cryptocurrencies.
