Stand for research the influence of different types of lamps on the quality of electric power

To date, compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) and LED lamps are tested with only two indicators of the quality of electricity (PCE) «Slow voltage change» and «Frequency deviation». At the same time, GOST 32144-2013 indicates many other indicators of the quality of electricity that affect many of the electrical and lighting parameters of CFLs and LED lamps. At the same time, there is not enough complete data on the effect of deviations of the PCE from nominal values on the electrical and lighting cha-racteristics of CFLs and LED lamps declared by manufacturers. Also, the issue of SCE distortion when using CFLs and LED lamps has not been fully studied. To study the effect of CFLs and LED lamps on the quality of electricity, a stand was developed. The developed stand allows you to determine the effects of various types of lamps on the quality of electricity, the consumption of electricity by various lamps, make measurements of PCE, both in horizontal and vertical position, when measuring the PCE, turn off or connect the required number of lamps, as well as use various models of power quality analyzer. At the above stand, tests were made on lamps of various manufacturers and types. The results of the measurements show that all the studied lamps distort the quality of electricity. Therefore, manufacturers need to research the manufactured lamps not according to two indicators as regulated by regulatory documents but take into account all the PCEs that are specified in GOST 32144-2013. The results presented in the article will allow consumers to choose lamps that do not distort the quality of electricity, and manufacturers to develop new types of drivers that do not cause distortions in the quality of electricity. In addition, based on the studies conducted, recommendations can be formed for electric grid companies to improve the quality of electricity and reduce electricity losses.
