Stereotactic conformal radiation therapy with the use of active breathing control in treatment of non-small cell lung cancer

Бесплатный доступ

It has been found that the conformal conventional radical radiation therapy for locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer with the use of active breathing control (ABC) significantly increases the moving target control without undue normal tissue injury. The ABC system provides dose escalation by 10–12 %, thus improving local control, reducing PTV and the frequency of side effects. The use of ABC system allows completion of radical radiation therapy without the course splitting in 70 % of cases.
