Stereotypes about Soviet army in letters of German soldiers in 1941

The article discusses the stereotypes of German soldiers which they had about the Soviet Army in 1941, and the ratio of the stereotypes of German soldiers and Nazi propaganda in 30-ies – 40-ies. During the military operations on the territory of the Soviet Union stereotypes in the minds of German soldiers were formed mainly by anti-Bolshevik propaganda. Some of the stereotypes emerged on the basis of personal experience of German soldiers.
