The stereotypes of foreigners about Russia and their transformation after the 2018 World Cup

The article is devoted to the analysis of stereotypes about Russia formed in the public consciousness of foreigners. One of the main causes of stereotypes is revealed, their concrete examples are given. To better understand the nature of stereotypes, the analysis of the opinion of foreigners about Russia before and after the world Cup was carried out. A level of stereotyping was also identified, which helped to determine whether stereotypes were true and justified or not.
