Stylistic characteristics of the English-language mediation discourse

The paper explores the diversity of approaches in the stylistic characteristics of the English-language media discourse, analyzes the differences in the interpretation of the term “discourse”, ecological discourse, highlights the meaning of the concept of genres of journalism and, in particular, the genre of interviews. The purpose of this study is to characterize the English-language media discourse on the material of media texts of the English-language newspapers USA Today; “The New York Times” “Los Angeles Times”; New York Daily News. The scientific novelty of the study is due to: analysis of the structures, units and categories of ecological discourse, description of its linguacultural features; identification of methods of speech influence. A special role in the article is given to discourse analysis as signs of a language code immersed in a social environment.
