A stylistic aspect of sports terminlogy in the English-language political discourse texts

The article deals with the updating of the stylistic function of sports terminology in the English-language political discourse texts. The author gives ground to the necessity of a further English-speaking countries, discourse research and analyzes the stylistic devices, which are most frequently used in newspapers, articles and increase the effectiveness of an information message. The author draws a conclusion that using sports terminology in political texts has got a significant potential.
