Stylistic effect of semantic modulation in the word meanings in the context of ironical anti-Utopia is under study. Ironic interpretation of the key words' meaning is viewed as markers of artistic implications. Adaptation, delimitation, transformation are presented as subtypes of semantic modulation of the contextual word meaning.
