Encouraging private investment in science and technology development: a direction for Vietnam

The article analyzes models for encouraging private enterprises to increase investment in science and technology and draws lessons for Vietnam. In the modern economy, science and technology play a crucial role in economic development. However, investment in this field is often associated with high risks. As a result, private enterprises tend to be cautious when making investment decisions. Therefore, encouraging private sector investment in this field is an urgent task. In several developed countries, successful models for attracting private investment in science and technology have been implemented, such as public-private partnerships, industrial clusters, and business incubators. Based on international experience, the article proposes solutions to adapt these models to Vietnam’s conditions.
