Dental care in the Kyrgyz Republic

This article deals with dental care provided to the population of the Kyrgyz Republic. The reform of the health-care system in the Republic has led to the reorientation of the health-care system from the curative to the preventive direction of health-care measures. The study of certain indicators of dental care contributes to the planning, development of programs for the prevention of dental diseases, the identification of prospects for the development of dental services, as well as the provision of quality medical care. Hygiene education in dentistry plays a very important role and should focus on two areas: health education and oral hygiene training.
