Intellectual property insurance: from theory to practice in ten years

The author examines the theory and practice of intellectual property insurance. He explores the civil legislation governing the legal relations in the sphere of intellectual property, as well as the laws governing the legal relations for property interests insurance of holders. The applicability of several types of insurance is analyzed. The foreign and local experience in this area developed over the last ten years is briefly reviewed. It is concluded that insurance is an effective way of reducing risks in the intellectual sphere.
