Insurance interest as a basis for the development of regional insurance

The article formulates the problem of development of regional insurance in Russia on the basis of taking into account the interests of the regions as integral subjects of the country 's social and economic system. The concept of insurance interest is specified, its social and economic nature is shown. Features of the interests of regions as consumers of insurance services are considered. The problem of assessing the needs of the region in insurance protection is formulated.
