The strategic directions for implementing the policy of import substitution in agro-industrial complex in the southern macroregion

Based on the analysis of empirical data, the article substantiates the main directions for strategic development of agro-industrial complex in the south of Russia that ensure the implementation of import substitution imperatives. To assess the dependence of sectors of the agro-industrial complex on import, the author proposes tools, including indicators and a matrix of import dependence. Tools testing shows their applicability to develop managerial decisions for implementing projects of import substitution in individual sectors of the agro-industrial complex.
